COW-A-BUNGA BAY IS FUN !!!!

This water park is only a mile from our home. Stacy and Michelle's families cooled off from the hot summer fun. I think we live in the "perfect spot" for fun. Boondocks is 2 miles the other way. Chuckee Cheese with a big bowling alley is just up the road. There is super entertainment in every direction. Now if I can just live long enough to do it all!!! Nicole took me on this ride a boondocks that is worse the Dinsneyland's California Screaming. It flips you forward and sideways...UPSIDE DOWN!!! When we got off the young man asked Nicole if she had fun. They both looked at me and laughed...okay I SCREAMED the whole time!!!

FAMILY REUNION ROUND ONE

GRANDMA DUTY...LOVE IT!!!

We McConkie's have never believed in just one family reunion. It goes on and on and on. This week Michelle and Stacy's families have been here. They did Lagoon, Boondocks and Cow-A-Bunga Bay. We ate too much....laughed too much...and then played till the sun went down (way too much)!!! Precious catching up. COUSINS BECOMING FRIENDS!!! It has been wonderful but completely EXHAUSTING!!! With that said...I would do it all over again...oh yea, next weekend is the Sparks' Reunion and I am in charge. We will do it all over again for sure!!! LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!

ZUCCHINI is READY!!!

There are so many yummy things to do with zucchini but my favorite (of course) is zucchini bread! It is a family favorite and generates some good memories. Zucchini has been at least $1.99 at Walmart all year. Yep, going to be freezing some this year. Nicole just got home from her 3 day, 20 mile 4th Year hike as I pulled 8 loaves from the oven. One has already been delivered to Kim's 91 year old mother-in-law. The rest will disappear when the gang (Stacy and Michelle's families) get here from Lagoon. Perfect combination....Cold Stone Creamery and fresh Zucchini Bread.

Okay...I am kind of a pain about organization and cleanliness. I just had to laugh when I ran onto Nicole's recent photo session. Ya think that you might want to clean your room before the photo session. Holy Cow...when she opened her suitcase in the motel at Disneyland, I wondered if the airline had messed it up with a search...she just laughed and said that is the way it looked when she packed it. Oh, my!!! In her defense I will add a photo of her room as she left it before going bowling with her friends. Love that kid....love, love, love her!!!!

CARMAGEDDON

When we got to LA, everyone was talking about CARMAGEDDON...Nicole and I are like WHAT??? They closed one of the main freeways for 53 hours while removing a bridge. Everyone knew it was going to be a mess. The warnings were everywhere. It just happened to hit when we needed to be at the airport and 405 was part of our route. We planned our detour, to a nearby mall and there was a CARMAGEDDON PARTY there. The radio station had us pose for this picture. I did pass on the T-shirts they were selling to commemorate the event. Rather have a TEAM CAITLYNN shirt!!!!

DISNEYLAND, UNIVERSAL STUDIOS AND EAT & SHOP TILL YOU DROP!!!

MY FAVORITE FRUIT...FROZEN CHOCOLATE BANANAS...LOVE THEM!!!!! Now weight watchers has NO POINTS on fruit...DO YOU THINK THAT INCLUDES MY BANANAS!!!!

Nicole and I escaped for a Mother-Daughter Week in California. Just the two of us to play, talk and eat some incredible food!!! We laughed till we cried. We went on everything once and the huge California Dreaming Roller Coaster 4 times!!! It was sooo much fun!!! I love spending time with Nicole. She is smart and oh so pretty. I can tell this next year is going to be one of protecting her from the wolves. She has a sweet kind way of taking care of her Mom too! I love being a Mom the most! I love all my sweet children...David, Tamara, Heidi, Michelle, Stacy and Nicole!!!

First Day at Disneyland!!!

I am loving spending time with Nicole. We have laughed till we cried, we have ate some different but delicious food and we have experienced watching me Loose It!!!! I thought I was going to die!!! Nicole said we would start with something smaller and then go on the BIG ONE! I totally bought it. It was until they started a launch count-down that I realized....we were on California screaming! I know how it got it's name. I want you to know I had been hanging upside down at about 10 stories up before that photo was taken. If I could have let go long enough...I would of strangled my laughing daughter....who said my face was totally Purple!,,,That would be because I was not breathing!!!

LOVE AND LAUGHTER AND BEST FRIENDS FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!

Do you think you have birthdays in Heaven? Do they serve Angel Food Cake? Paul was 5 years old than I was and now I have got up. This year makes 5 years since his passing. But his Birthday was always pretty special...so I will take a few minutes to miss him and then I will get busy taking care of our 6 children and 18 grandchildren in order to honor him. Life is Good!!!

4th of July...CELEBRATION!!!

The day started out with the birth of two new Grandsons!!! Doesn't get better than that...Welcome Austin and Stone Sanderson!!! We had a housefull of children and grandchildren...yep, even better!!! We ate BBQ chicken and hamburgers, variety of salads, fruit trays, veggie trays and a variety of desserts, including apple pie ala mode. We set of our fireworks and then the neighbors fireworks went into the morning hours. Utah just approved arial fireworks for everyone. It was absolutely wild!!! Glad our home is still standing. I am not sure there was wisdom in letting EVERYONE shoot off these heavy duty fireworks in the middle of the neighborhood. Glad I didn't hear sirens. There were fireworks as big as Moses Lake's downtown show in 3 areas of our immediate neighborhood. WOW...It was like a "War Zone"!! I love the 4th. The Sparks Family always had a whole lot of fun and lots of fireworks. I know you probably don't want to hear this but only 5 months till we put up CHRISTMAS DECORATION!!! Am I BAD?!?!
